Take a walk through the town of Zapatoca and visit some of the main places of interests.
Join this excursion to get to know Zapatoca, named before as the Levitical City or the Silk Climate City. Indigenous graves have been found in this community and architectural jewels from the time of the Colony are preserved. To get there you will cross the Suárez river canyon and go through the Gómez Ortiz Bridge, which is 500 meters away and crosses the Sogamoso river.
Once in Zapatoca you will visit the Parish of San Joaquín . You will go to the cemetery to see the tomb of Geo Von Lengerke, leader of a group of Germans who settled in the region and influenced commercial and agricultural development. You will also enjoy the landscape from Los Guanes viewpoint, which overlooks a majestic canyon.
In the village you can enjoy a beautiful central park, as well as shops selling handmade orange and blackberry wines. Near the town you will visit the “Nitro Cave” where a specialized guide will show you some parts of the cave that has a depth of several kilometers.
