What’s something the Paisas (locals from Medellin) are famous for? Friendly hospitality, dashing good looks, yes, but most importantly of all their incredible food, of course! Try some classic local delights with us at HiMedellin on this must-see tour. Our experienced bilingual guides will run you around the city and its surrounding villages on a gastronomic adventure, which is sure to leave you will a full belly and a happy heart.

Meat-eaters rejoice, as our tour will explain the processes of meat production in the local area, perfect for rearing cattle and producing beef and pork. You can’t leave without having tried the famous chicharrón (pork crackling) of Envigado, a postcard-pretty traditional village a stone’s throw from buzzing Medellin. We also celebrate the Bandeja Paisa, probably the most famous dish of the region; think full-sized English Breakfast, but with avocado, rice, crispy pork belly along with your beans, eggs and sausage.

For the veggies amongst you, no need to worry, as you can fill your boots with traditional arepas, corn patties super well-known in Colombia for varying region-to-region. The buñuelos – fried, cheesy, dough balls of goodness – are also not to be missed on your stop off in Sabaneta, and we know exactly where to get the biggest and tastiest ones in town.
